Relationship Manager, Partner Ops

The Relationship Manager is a highly-motivated individual with applied or academic experience in a research field such as sociology, political science, or public health. In addition to motivating partners to engage more proactively with the Exchange, the Relationship Manager will need to work closely with stakeholders to help Fulcrum evolve and standardize survey questions in multiple languages. This role will combine account management and some technical service. The ideal candidate is as comfortable with data analysis as with leading a phone call and has some background in an academic discipline reliant on survey research.


  • Grow the Fulcrum Supply chain in Europe and beyond
  • Establish relationships with traditional sample providers, startups, and more
  • Represent the Lucid brand to the market research and technology industries
  • Build the base of respondents available to Fulcrum users around the world
  • Onboard and train Fulcrum suppliers on Fulcrum use
  • Communicate knowledgeably to stakeholders about new product developments, our business model, and the dynamics of the Fulcrum Exchange
  • Analyze and interpret Fulcrum data to help participants sell more and sell more efficiently
  • Assist in the maintenance of Fulcrum’s standard qualification library – our database of demographic research questions
  • Work proactively with stakeholders to learn about evolving customer and partner needs
  • Localize US research questions to international contexts

The day-to-day work of the Business Development Manager will initially consist of the following:

  • Data analysis and report preparation
  • Leading calls to train new users on Fulcrum basics,  increase adoption of new features, and communicate the strategic dynamics of the marketplace
  • Sales – Bringing our products to the European market and growing our international supply base
  • Taking on new things as they come in a fast-paced team environment


  • BA/BS degree or higher, MA/MS desired, preferably in political science, economics, public health, sociology, or statistics
  • 2 years or more of work experience
  • An academic or professional background with social sciences or fields that deal with survey research data
  • Excel proficiency and particular experience with pivot tables and advanced formulas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative attitude and an affinity for working in fast-paced environment
